(Ensuring Financial Integrity and Accountability in The Nest Church) Oversee Collection of Tithes and Offerings Coordinate the orderly and secure collection of all church income during services, programs, and special events — ensuring no disruption to the worship flow. Sort, Count, and Record All Income Immediately after each collection, accurately count and sort all cash, cheques, and envelopes. Ensure figures are double-checked and verified by multiple unit members. Maintain Strict Confidentiality and Integrity Handle all funds and giving information with the highest level of discretion, honesty, and spiritual maturity. Personal integrity is non-negotiable. Document and Report Giving Totals Weekly Prepare detailed reports of income for each service or event, categorized by type (e.g. tithe, offering, first fruit, special seed) and submit to the Admin or Finance Office. Ensure Secure Storage and Handover of Funds Deposit counted funds into designated envelopes or bags, ensure secure transfer to the church vault or authorized financial officer, and sign off with proper documentation. Monitor and Manage Offering Materials Maintain inventory and availability of offering baskets, envelopes, tithe slips, and other relevant materials. Ensure materials are clean, organized, and replenished as needed. Collaborate with Finance and Admin Offices Work closely with the Finance Team to align on financial processes, cash-handling protocols, and audit requirements. Attend briefings and reviews as needed. Enforce Accountability Measures Within the Unit Establish internal checks and balances during all financial operations — including rotation of counting partners, signing logs, and using counting sheets. Train and Vet New Members Carefully Identify potential new members for the unit based on trustworthiness, maturity, and discretion. Ensure proper training in church financial protocols. Pray Over and Steward Church Resources Faithfully Engage in regular prayers as a unit, asking for wisdom, integrity, and divine guidance in handling the Lord’s resources. Understand this is both a sacred and practical responsibility.
