Description

Member Care & General Welfare Oversight Ensure the holistic wellbeing (spiritual, emotional, physical) of all Nest members through strategic care and support initiatives (Galatians 6:2). Visitation Coordination Plan and implement visitations for childbirths, hospitalizations, bereavements, weddings, housewarmings, and other significant life events. Celebration Planning (Birthdays & Anniversaries) Organize monthly birthday celebrations and special recognitions for members, creating a family-oriented and inclusive church atmosphere. Crisis Support & Benevolence Assistance Coordinate annual support (financial, foodstuff, counselling, prayer) for members experiencing crises, unemployment, or health challenges and welfare programs around the environment. Guest Minister Welfare & Hospitality Ensure the comfort and well-being of guest ministers by organizing transportation, accommodation, honorarium, and refreshments with excellence and honour (1 Timothy 5:17). Welfare Budget Planning & Disbursement Prepare and manage the welfare department’s budget in alignment with church leadership, ensuring transparency, fairness, and accountability. Partnership & Resource Mobilization Develop a network of internal and external partners (doctors, caterers, transporters, etc.) to support the department’s operations more effectively. Food & Relief Distribution Coordinate the distribution of food items and relief materials during outreach events, church-wide programs, or to needy families within the church. Volunteer Mobilization & Training Recruit, train, and manage volunteers who serve with compassion, confidentiality, and Christian ethics. Event-Based Care Support Provide logistical and hospitality support during church events, including refreshments, care kits, medical aid stations, and lost & found. Record Keeping & Monitoring Maintain accurate records of member needs, welfare interventions, and follow-ups to measure impact and ensure no one is overlooked. Welfare Sundays & Testimony Sessions Host occasional welfare appreciation moments where members can share testimonies of how the department has impacted them. Special Projects (e.g., School Fees, Rent Support) Coordinate periodic campaigns to assist members in need with critical expenses like rent, school fees, or hospital bills, based on leadership approval. Spiritual Support & Prayer Coordination Collaborate with the prayer team to ensure members in distress receive intercession, encouragement, and spiritual counsel alongside material aid. Organised yearly workers award and appreciation dinner.
