About The Nest Church

Discover our story, mission, and the heart behind our community of faith

Our Story

The Nest Church was founded in 2008 with a simple vision: to create a place where people could experience God's love, grow in their faith, and find their purpose in life. What started as a small gathering of 20 people in a living room has grown into a vibrant community of over 500 members.

Our name "The Nest" represents our desire to be a safe haven where people can find rest, protection, and nurturing care. Just as a nest provides security for young birds to grow and eventually soar, we aim to be a place where spiritual growth flourishes and people are equipped to fulfill their God-given destiny.

Located in the heart of Ikotun, Lagos, we have become a beacon of hope in our community, actively involved in social programs, education initiatives, and community development projects.

What We Believe

Our faith is built on the solid foundation of God's Word and these core biblical truths

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God and our ultimate authority for faith and practice.

The Trinity

We believe in one God eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, each fully God yet distinct in person and function.

Salvation

We believe salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone, not by works, and is available to all who believe.

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died for our sins, and rose again.

The Church

We believe the church is the body of Christ, called to worship God, make disciples, and serve our community and world.

Eternal Life

We believe in the resurrection of the dead and eternal life for all who trust in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
